Hyderabad since the round of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) chief was rushed to the cardiothoracic intensive care unit of the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) early Saturday morning. On the seventh day of his fast, KCR, who was arrested on NIMS for the last few days, was sent to the ICCU after doctors determined that his heart condition worsened. NIMS is yet to issue an official medical bulletin on his health.
Old-timers will recall the Superhit movie "Guide" of the 1960s, when Dev Anand, who plays Raju guide, disappears after serving a prison sentence for forgery. Raju surfaces in a village, where he is mistaken for a holy man. The villagers shower so much love in him, that if no rain one years, Raju can not say no to their request to perform a quick regent. At the end, the sky opens, but Raju died of hunger.
'KCR is not Mahatma Gandhi. Gandhi fasting could often take as a result of the discipline in his life and the constant padyatras he would take. So six days can not be too long, but it has potential for the physical condition of KCR very hard hit , "said a veteran politician who knows the TRS boss close, but not to be identified. KCR suffers from many diseases, including diabetes, blood pressure and liver damage. A medical bulletin issued by NIMS on Friday late in the evening was described as stable KCR health but had said that his urine reports signs of "hunger". Sources aver that KCR could have entered the danger zone on Saturday morning.
For those who came late, KCR is not a complete fast. He is "administered by force 'saline by the hospital authorities. Sources claim that not using a sober lifestyle, KCR is looking for a way out of the fast-Friday. "He was willing to fast when he gets a promise from the Union Government on Telangana or an invitation to Sonia Gandhi for talks to break. But as soon KCR does not have any glimmer of hope held by the Center, the chances of his being lynched by students who form the bulk of the Telangana movement, "said one analyst familiar with the Telangana movement. 'KCR is aware of this and the last is that he has reconciled with the fast, what could happen to him. The Union government is yet to respond to his fast. But after hearing that his condition deteriorated on Saturday, the students have a job to him to give up his fast and asked the central government to establish a concrete promise for Telangana. If not, the movement taking a violent turn, they warned.
State may exercise its one days had passed quickly KCR accepted a glass of juice and drank it on November 30. But when pictures of him with a glass of juice in his hand had enraged his followers so much that the TRS boss was forced to a statement that he had not given up the strike and the plantation of this piece of false information issue was the handiwork of the government . KCR should have started his hunger strike on Siddipet, 130 km from Hyderabad on November 29. But even as he drove to the scene, the police fired at him and shifted him Khammam sub-jail, 220 km from Hyderabad. The fast began in prison. Three days later, the deteriorating conditions KCR was airlifted to NIMS in order to ensure proper medical care.
Meanwhile, demonstrations at the various campuses of the university in Telangana in Osmania University (OU) in Hyderabad, at the center of the Telangana region. In the last few days have been four suicides and three shock deaths, including one case of a young man who sacrificed himself for the cause as a separate state. Even if the universities in the region are shut down for two weeks, the students put pressure on MPs and ministers from this region of the Telangana cause and their effigies burn them further incentive. Minister Jaipal Reddy is one such person whose image is burned. Faced with this situation, the Congress are 11 MPs from the Telangana region meeting Sonia Gandhi to take a position on the creation of a separate state of Telangana.
The case is pending since 2004, when Congress swept to power in the state with the promise of the TRS on Telangana. But once in power, Congress return to the first initiated by the YS Rajasekhara Reddy, who strongly opposed the proposition. This forced KCR to run its alliance with Congress in the state and resigned his position in the Union Cabinet, but he could not progress further. This was partly due to his weak will and unwillingness to work diligently for the cause. On the other hand, Rajasekhara Reddy broke the backbone of the TRS by producing evidence that many of the party MLAs were involved in trafficking. Reddy also held Congress leaders who pitched for Telangana distance by successfully selling the line in the center, Telangana, once made, would be a breeding ground for Maoists, which his government was driven away to neighboring Chhattisgarh become.
It is no coincidence that the movement for Telangana has intensified soon after the unfortunate death of Rajasekhara Reddy. "Reddy was strongly opposed to the creation of Telangana, the new Prime Minister is too weak to stand. Sonia has a stance. She was taken back by Reddy held. But she is not against Telangana in principle", says one Senior Congress leader already in contact with the Congress boss on the subject.
However, reports suggest that the National Security Advisor MK Narayanan summoned Maharashtra Chief Minister K Rosaiah in Delhi early this week and told him that the chances of Maoist infiltration in the Telangana movement were very high. The Telangana agitator, knowing that the list would be infiltration of the left used to justify strong-arm police action against them, have started making a conscious effort to the anxiety largely violence-free and peace keeping.
Telangana contains parts of the former Nizam's property not included in the current Karan Ataka and Maharashtra and were merged with the northern districts of the former Madras state of Andhra Pradesh to create in 1956. This was on the recommendations of the Fazal Ali Committee, showing how well the integration had worked should be examined after 10 years. In 1969 a large movement for Telangana launched from the Osmania University campus that left 300 dead, but the new state was not made. After a silence of nearly three decades, the TRS was established in 1996 with the express purpose of forcing the creation of Telangana.
Fifty-three years after the creation of Andhra Pradesh, the people of the two cultural regions remain distinct in the diet, festivals, music and literature, but in recent years have been mixed marriages, the people of Telangana feel that they have been swamped by eastern settlers who have exploited their region and used the surplus generated to the development of the northern region. But the people of the two regions are united by the fact of their Telugu speaking the same language.
