Brandeis' Copeland commits to UIW

Brandeis runner Noah Copeland is committed to Incarnate Word, Broncos coach John Campbell, said Monday.

Copeland finished second in the Express-News Area in rushing yards (2.391) and touchdowns (35) on 303 carries. He was of 1,128 yards and 11 touchdowns in the postseason, leading the Broncos to the Division quarterfinals of the Class 5A State II.

"It's more of a sigh of relief from the kind of thing," Campbell said of the compromise, "because we've really been looking forward to have that chance."
