Time to rise above party politics on Balochistan: Ch Nisar

ISLAMABAD, Dec 7 (APP): Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said on Monday the government and all political parties above politics and work together to end the deprivation of meaning between the population of Baluchistan. This he said while opening the debate on e-Aghaz-Haqook-e-Baluchistan, in special joint session of Parliament here. The package was presented by Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, at the joint session of parliament on November 24.

Ch Nisar said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz position on the issue of Balochistan was very clear and you think the package about the area, people and political parties of Balochistan and that was his prerogative to express their views on the matter .
He believed that during the Musharraf era Balochis were killed without mercy on the instructions of the then dictator.
He appreciated the government for their good intentions to solve the problems of the province. But he said the government should have come with a package within months after coming to power.
"Unfortunately we have not learned the lessons of past mistakes and always pointed their weapons to demanding their rights," he added.
He said there was no doubt the good intentions of the current government, but only good intentions do not deliver. To put an end to more than 60 years of deprivation of sense, conventional and revolutionary measures would be adopted.
He said there were over 800 people missing in Balochistan, but so far few have been located. He advised the government not to vote on the package and not take him back to stakeholders and begin your first application.
The PML-N leader said the government should open the back door secret talks with those who differ with government policies.
Ch Nisar suggested that a general amnesty should be proclaimed to all Balochis against whom several cases pending. He said military operations were not solving problems.
