Islamabad blasts mastermind held

ISLAMABAD: Capital police announced Friday it had detained a suspect involved in a suicide attack on a UN office last month and a series of other bombings.
Five explosions' was held in Islamabad in 2009, four of them were investigated and he was involved in four explosions, "Islamabad police chief Passage Imam told a press conference.
Police suspect paraded, alias Ali Tahir, before reporters. Mr. Imam said the suspect helped in acts of suicide attack in the office of the World Food Program in Islamabad, in which five UN workers were killed.
He brought the bomber's World Food Program (office), Mr. Imam said.
Police found suicide jackets, about eight kilograms of explosives and ball bearings used to make bombs in his possession.
Mr. Imam said the man was a leading activist of 'Ghazi Force' set up and operated by Maula Niaz Rahim, a former student of Lal Masjid.
According to police, Ghazi Force was formed to carry out 'activities reprisal or retaliation for the 2007 operation against Lal Masjid.
Mr. Imam said the suspect had admitted before a judge that he was the organizer of suicide bombings in the press and Islamabad, including Rescue-15 attack on the police office.
Police said Ali was arrested by Rawal Lake area where he was waiting for his associates from Orakzai Agency.
He said Shah WFP monitor activities around the office for three days before the FC to ensure uniform and his bomber jacket. Ghazi Force provided four suicide jackets in chess for an attack on Adyala prison where some are terrorists detained.-agencija
