Army will not return from Swat without completing its mission: COAS

SWAT: Chief of Army Staff, General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani has made it clear that the army would return from Swat without the completion of his mission and added that the terrorists had flushed from the area.
By the grace of Almighty Allah, and the sacrifices the soldiers and the masses of Swat, there is complete peace and quiet today, he is addressing, while a public ceremony here in Wadodi Hall, Saidu Sharif on Saturday said .
He also thanked the masses of Swat to show respect for him. He said that today was his happiest and important day of his life. We were not able to establish peace in Swat with the cooperation of the masses and the ability to make Pakistan a strong and stable, we have, he said.
Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani went on to say that the army would remain in Swat to restore law and order. The people of Swat would be compensated, he said.
The army was and would remain with the people of Swat, who has worked with us to flush out terrorists from the area, he said. During Operation Rah-e-Rast in Swat, Buner and Dir, he said that 550 army officers and men rendered sacrifices of their lives and more than 1500 were wounded.
