Eight children die in school crush

A CHILD stumble on slippery stairs has resulted in the deaths of eight children in a stampede at a school in China. The tragedy occurred in the town of Xiangxiang, Hunan Province. Over 400 students were leaving the studio Monday night, when the stampede developed.

Alexa Ray (23), daughter of Joel and Christie Brinkley's ex-wife was hospitalized after taking an unknown amount of pills.

Polanski and Tate naked photo sold

A nude photograph of film director Roman Polanski and his wife Sharon Tate was sold for $ 11,250 (€ 7,655) at auction, with the recent arrest of the director of food interest.

The large scale silver gelatin print was an image taken by photographer David Bailey English in 1969, just months before the actress Tate and four others were murdered by followers of Charles Manson.
